St. Pete Transgender Day of Remembrance – Honoring Trans Lives in St. Petersburg
Description:
Join us on November 20 at the St. Pete Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDOR) to remember and honor transgender individuals who have tragically lost their lives to violence. This annual memorial gathering is dedicated to reflection, remembrance, and building a supportive community.
What to Expect at the St. Petersburg Transgender Day of Remembrance:
The event will begin at the Sunshine Senior Center with a candlelight vigil. From there, we will proceed to City Hall, where a ceremony will be held to commemorate lives lost. Attendees are encouraged to bring their own candles to add to the evening’s light and unity.
This event is open to all allies, family, and community members who wish to stand with the transgender community in solidarity. It’s a meaningful time for healing, reflection, and supporting each other as we continue the fight for safety and inclusion.
