This past Saturday, our community brought the color, creativity, and courage to our St. Pete Trans March Sign-Making Party. With markers in hand and music in the background, we created protest signs that were as joyful as they were defiant—getting ready for the upcoming Trans March.
From “You Can’t Disappear the Queers” surrounded by bold florals to “Protect the Action Figures” featuring a flexed-up trans champ—every sign carried love, humor, and fire. Each message reflected our values: joy, resistance, safety, and radical acceptance.
Adam (your local cis ally and writer) joined in and proudly held up his original design: a muscle-bound cartoon character with a “Trans Champ” belt. The spirit of the Trans March sign-making party was alive in every stroke, sticker, and smudge of marker.
These signs are bold, bright, and ready to march. You’ll see them all over the St. Pete Trans March—because queer art deserves to take up space and lead the way. 🌸
If you missed the sign-making party, don’t worry—you can still be part of the action. Join us:
We’re not just marching—we’re making art, making noise, and making space for each other. This Trans March sign-making party reminded us that resistance can be beautiful. 🩵🩷🤍
